DOS HERMANAS 1996

Dos Hermanas (two sisters) is situated near Sevilla. A series of annual chess contests started in the spring of 1989. It became a super event during the 1990's. Kasparov only participated in 1996, when no super tournament took place in Linares. Ten top players starred from 21 v until 1 vi 1996 in Hotel La Motilla. This installment has been selected.

Kramnik became winner on the Sonneborn-Berger score. Topalov joined the lead in points. Anand and Kasparov shared the third place.
